Has Katie Couric Been Hanging Out With Wayne Brady?
Katie Couric recently had an interview with New York Magazine in which she talked about her difficulties in transitioning from working on the Today Show to the CBS Evening News. During her frustrations she slapped news editor Jerry Cipriano in June when she found out that she would have to use the word “sputum” during an on-air segment about Tuberculosis. A source who witnessed the event:

“I sort of slapped him around,” Couric admits. “I got mad at him and said, ‘You can’t do this to me. You have to tell me when you’re going to use a word like that.’ I was aggravated, there’s no question about that.” (She adds that the pair made up, and the incident became a kind of running joke on the set.)

Maybe Katie has been chillin with Wayne Brady and has taken up his “slap-a-bitch” mentality. I’m surprised that she didn’t get fired over that, or at least sued.
