Lorrie Morgan's got herself a new job - Broadway actress.
Lorrie has been confirmed (via Country Weekly) to be the newest cast member of Broadway's Pure Country, the play based on the George Strait film. Lorrie will be Joining Joe Nichols who is playing the lead role of Rusty.
"I play Lula, who is the country star's manager," Lorrie tells Country Weekly. "I auditioned for the part in New York and got the role. We start rehearsals in January and the play will probably open a few weeks after that." Lorrie adds, "I wasn't even looking to do something like this, but I'm very excited about it."
Here's hoping Joe and Lorrie will have a job longer than those involved in 9 to 5: The Musical.
