Video: Jay Leno Reveals His Dream Guest for New Prime Time Show

Jay Leno's hour-long, prime time show premieres September 14 on NBC -- and the talk show host reveals his dream guests for the new show!

"You shoot for Oprah and kind of work your way down," Jay tells "The Insider". "There's a lot of people I'd like to have on. Jerry Seinfeld, there's nobody funnier than him. Tom Cruise of course, who you would think would be the biggest stars."

As Jay leaves late night behind he tells "The Insider" about which elements of his show he'll take with him to his new time slot.

"You have stuff that works, we'll bring the stuff that works," he says. "The stuff that doesn't work, we'll leave behind for other people."

The 59-year-old will bring familiar faces such as Ross Mathews, and Brian Williams along with him to "The Jay Leno Show."

"Brian has agreed to do some funny pieces," Jay says. "We have the segment 'Things That Weren't Good Enough for NBC Nightly News,' and he'll do some things like that and some other stuff as well, so it will be fun."

Jay also tells "The Insider" that although there is always pressure with any new show he feels confident, especially after being around TV and late night for so many years.

"Obviously there's a certain amount of pressure, but you go into it with confidence that you've done something for a number of years that people are happy with," he says. "It'll be a shakedown show, we'll see how all the elements work. You watch for the laughs, stay for the train wreck."

"The Jay Leno Show" premieres September 14 on NBC.
