Kelly Clarkson Photoshopped to Hell and Back in Self Magazine

I'm confused. The face says Kelly Clarkson, but the body says Britney Spears. What gives Self? I thought the whole point of putting Kelly Clarkson on the cover was to put Kelly Clarkson on the cover-not bits and pieces of the singer. For their part, Self (obviously) acknowledges the photoshopping of monumental proportions, with the mag's editor in chief Lucy Danzieger telling Entertainment Tonight "Yes, of course we do post-production corrections on our images.   • It is regular practice for magazines to photoshop. They all do it on everyone. I am sure that Kelly would have been happy on the cover without being altered. She does not run the magazine, and famous people are so used to being photoshopped. Kelly is not a hypocrite.

  • I think it's hypocritical to say that you are happy with your weight, then agree to be photoshopped to look thin.

  • Kelly Clarkson is a wonderful role model. She is a strong, confident, comfortable with herself, kind hearted, intellegent, outspoken, down-to-earth, and extremely talented person. She inspires me, and I am 45 yrs old. I am sure that she did not care if the magazine photoshopped her or not. I wish they would have put her on there as is. She looks great to me. I am happy that Self put a true superstar on their cover. I will buy this issue because of Kelly Clarkson.
