Annals Of Philanthropy: On 'Hollywood Gives Back Day,' CAA Masters Spare The Rod, Spoil The Children

On the occasion of today's release of Variety's special "Philanthropy 2007: Hollywood Begrudgingly Gives Back" issue, several agencies have purchased full page ads celebrating the good works of their employees, whose generosity of spirit has somehow survived punishing hours toiling in the industry's leading evil factories.

We spotlight CAA's salute to its Assistant Task Force, arguably the most impressive of all the agencies' philanthropic organizations; so resourceful are the Creative Artist call-rollers that they've found a way to serve both the community and their Armani-clad masters during their charitable activities, making time to bury the bodies of rivals, raid the pensions of elderly former clients, and hijack baby deliveries for their bosses while fulfilling their quota of "giving back" hours.
