"Dave [Good] and I both remember Ed saying he had a girlfriend," contestant Wes Hayden told US magazine.
Michael Stagliano also said of Ed, "There was definitely something, I can't put my finger on it, where I did think, I'm not going to be best friends with this guy. Ed's a shady character."
These accusations come after Ed's college sweetheart, Lindsey Johnson, told "Good Morning America" last week that she started dating the reality show star again in February, and he told her that his time on "The Bachelorette" was "a joke." She claimed that Ed promised to marry her by the end of the year and that he sent her the following email during the taping of the show, "I miss you dearly. I love you... Hopefully they'll get me home tomorrow."
US reports that contestants of the show are usually required to give up their cell phones and laptops but Ed was allowed both devices because it was reportedly imperative that he stay plugged in for his job as a Microsoft consultant.
Jillian reacted to the claims on "GMA" saying, "[Ed] has been very, very clear with me from the very beginning. He's been open and honest."
