MTV has announced that one breakout performer and one veteran hip-hop artist will be joining the list of performers at this year's MTV Video Music Awards!The wildly popular Lady Gaga and Jay-Z are gearing up to take the VMA stage on Sunday, September 13. Other performers include Green Day, Pink, Taylor Swift and Muse.
Jay-Z is up for Best Male Video and Best Hip Hop Video for his song “D.O.A (Death of Auto-Tune).” The renowned rapper is set to perform a song from his upcoming album The Blueprint 3.
Gaga is competing for nine VMA awards including Video of the Year. She'll be taking the stage to sing a hit from her multi-platinum debut album, The Fame.
Funny man Russell Brand will host "2009 MTV Video Music Awards” that will air live on Sunday, September 13 at 9 p.m.
