Mela Murphy Shoots Down Rumors About Farrah Fawcett

Mela Murphy, Farrah Fawcett's former hair dresser and friend of more than 22 years, opens up to "The Insider" about Farrah's final days, her relationship with partner Ryan O'Neal, and claims made about the late actress by Ryan's son from a previous relationship, Griffin O'Neal.

Mela addresses claims made by Griffin on CNN's "Larry King Live," which indicated that there may have been a secret affair between Ryan and Farrah's best friend Alana Stewart, and that Alana was selling Farrah's possessions on eBay.

"I believe what Griffin said on 'Larry King' was hurtful for Ryan, extremely hurtful for Alana, hurtful for Redmond [O’Neal], and it doesn't enhance Farrah's legacy in any way, and it's not true," Mela tells "The Insider."

She also says that Griffin was not at the condo nor had he seen Farrah in years. The worst claim made by Griffin, which Mela says is "completely false," was the one that alleged that Ryan and Alana were involved in an affair.

  • I am so very pleased to hear the truth coming out, I never beieved a word that came out of Griffin's mouth, it was so obvious that he was lying so bitter he should be ashamed of himself. You know I used to really enjoy and respect Larry King anymore the best shows are for example last nite Kathy Griffin she was magnificent, and no need to put tall tales out there. I do applaud him for having respect for the Jacjson's in their timr of grief. But anymore he is just so tacky he seems to want to be a reporter for the Enquirer and in my opo he ought to be there as he is no longer in the league of CNN.
