People.com reports that Douglas, 30, is being held at the New York City's Metropolitan Correctional Center after violating terms of his home detention.
Douglas was arrested on July 28 after he was allegedly caught dealing methamphetamine at New York's upscale Hotel Gansevoort, the Associated Press reports. Cameron was also arrested in California in 2007 on cocaine possession charges, says the AP.
Before Sott allegedly brought Douglas the toothbrush with heroin, he had been released on bail and confined to a New York apartment while being under the supervision of a private security company, according to People.
If convicted, the 30-year-old actor faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison, People reports.
