Hoax of the week: LINDSAY’S NUDE PICTURES DO NOT EXIST

7/17/07 BREAKING NEWS: It’s all a hoax. Lohans reps came out denying today that nude pictures of Lindsay and ex beau Cal Best ever existed. The story was predicated on a made-up chat between Lohan and a celebrity blogger from “a little while ago” in which she was upset and deeply troubled that naked pictures were stolen from her computer. The blogger claims to have had on-line chats with Lindsay on multiple occasions- none of which are verified in any way. This source simply has no credit and thus the volumes of stories produced on this recent chat are entirely misleading. The stories spun completely out of control, they went from being nudes of just Lindsay that Calum Best supposedly took, to exaggerated hardcore sex pictures of the two together. Many use pictures like this that are many months old.

Sources close to the star said Monday evening that “these pictures were never even taken of Lindsay Lohan or Calum Best in any intimate context. The whole thing has been made up. All of this is giving the public something they want to hear, that they wish would be true. These [underground] sites need all the publicity they can get”

Lindsay must be laughing herself to the bank with all this publicity and no chance of such pictures ever actually surfacing. The stories are based very little-if any- evidence and are embellished to sound like what an eager audience wants. If you read the conversation it explicit says naked pictures, the stories have been re-written to the point that they now (and likely never did) have no basis at all. Lindsay’s reps have yet to make an official statement, but they deny the possibility and seem well enough at ease that this is just a small insignificant blip saying. She was seen out at Winston’s in West Hollywood late last and was all smiles, looking like she had nothing to hide, except her alcohol detecting anklet. Reps did say that the young star "is focused on getting better and staying healthy”.
