Remember when Phil Hartman’s wife killed him? Well… it seems that there was a Christmas party at Phil’s house one night where Phil, his wife Brynn, Andy Dick, and Jon Lovitz were all at. Andy gave Brynn cocaine, and openly did drugs in front of everyone that night, after Brynn had been trying to stay sober for the last 10 years. When Brynn killed Phil, it seems she was on drugs. It is rumored that people blame Andy Dick for what happened that night. It is also rumored that Andy Dick told Jon Lovitz that he was going to “put the Phil Hartman hex on him” and that he would be dead next. A totally uncool and not funny joke. So naturally, Jon Lovitz was offended and pissed off. So when he saw Andy Dick at the Laugh Factory last week, he beat his ass. Rightfully so.
Laugh Factory owner Jamie Masada, who witnessed the assault, said, “Jon picked Andy up by the head and smashed him into the bar four or five times, and blood started pouring out of his nose.” Lovitz told Page Six, “All the comedians are glad I did it because this guy is a [bleep]hole.”
Hell, I’m not a comedian and I couldn’t agree with Lovitz more. I totally have a new outlook on Andy Dick. Not that he will ever be in any classy movies but.. if he is, I am definitely boycotting them. Screw Dick! (That doesn’t sound the way I intended it..)
