'Jon & Kate Plus 8:' Battleship Adventure!

On Monday night's brand new episode of TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" Kate Gosselin and the boys climb aboard a North Carolina battleship, while Jon Gosselin takes the girls for a day of fun!

Kate and the boys explore the USS North Carolina battleship. While on a tour of the ship, Kate takes the boys to see the kitchen, try out some of the beds, and the boys' favorite part, seeing the large bullets in the ammunition room!

Later, the boys get a chance to play with the cannons on the deck of the ship, and Kate encourages them to take aim at a specific target!

"We had a really good target. I told them, 'Aim at the paparazzi!'" Kate jokes. "I figured they were shooting us with their cameras, we could shoot them with our 'guns.'"

While Kate was away with the boys, Jon spent quality time with the twins Mady and Cara at a fun-park, where Cara showed her courage while putting on a harness and trying out a rope course suspended above the ground.

"Mady admitted that she was freaked out about stuff like that," Jon says about Mady opting out of the rope course. "She'll admit it she'll say 'I'm an indoor girl, Cara's and outdoor girl.' Even though they have the same birthday they are completely two different kids."

Cara and Mady also had an opportunity to rev up their engines when they raced go-karts on the track at the fun-park.

After their adventure at sea Kate decided it was time for the boys to head to the barbershop for much needed haircuts, and then she took them out for ice cream.

"It's fun to spend a day with the boys," Kate says. "Boys are so different they have such different interests. They're getting to that age where they're taking care of mommy, which is really fun to see."

"Jon & Kate Plus 8" airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. on TLC.

  • I did not watch the show and will not anymore but, I did see this and much more on the drama witch. So sad that she uses her children for her finacial needs/wants. I also saw where she was driving 95 on the road to try to get the paps lost after her...

    • Totally agree with you. I keep trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, but have a very hard time believing anything that comes out of her mouth. Just wait till Mady turns 13!!!!

  • I agree with ShariD. These kids are, what? 5? The paparazzi are INCREDIBLY annoying, I'm sure, but they kind of did it to themselves when you think about it.

  • I watched the show and felt that her telling the boys to aim at the paparazi with the big guns was a little much. Nice thing to teach the kids. News flash if your on tv your going to get paparazi. They have created that for themselves
