Brad Pitt is going G-rated for the sake of his children.

The A-list actor revealed to Ann Curry on the "Today" show that he will be voicing the character of a superhero who wants out of the business in a new animated movie. Curry jokes and asks if his character is autobiographical, of which Pitt laughs and responds, "It's really not but it sounded good...like an angle."

Pitt also confirms that the Dreamworks Animation film -- recognized by trade publications as 'Oobermind'-- will star Robert Downey Jr. and Tina Fey. "It's something [my kids] will enjoy and think dad is cool," he says of signing onto the film.

The actor's latest R-rated project, 'Inglourious Basterds,' hits theaters August 21.

  • Oh, he's going to stop smoking pot and being drunk with Tarentino long enough to play daddy? I am so tired of him and his "supposed" pious ways. He is such a loser and he never was really an actor. His highest grossing movie only made 330 million...

  • Oh, so he's done pandering to the Jewish set who control the entire movie industry? or will this superhero be fighting "nazis" again?
