High court hears Tom Hanks' high-end home dispute

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The latest act in a nine-year battle between Tom Hanks, his wife Rita Wilson and the high-end contractor Storey Construction is playing out before the Idaho Supreme Court.

The case revolves around the couple's sprawling Sun Valley-area home, built by Storey Construction starting in 2000. Hanks and Wilson say the company did a shoddy job, but it wasn't immediately discovered, and now they're out more than $2 million.

The construction company contends the couple is just out for revenge because they lost an earlier arbitration matter over the villa.

The Idaho Supreme Court heard oral arguments Friday. It's expected to rule in the next several months on whether Hanks and Wilson can move forward with new arbitration over the construction.
