Burly Russell Crowe will team up with Elizabeth Banks, 35, for the upcoming drama The Next Three Days. Crowe's attachment to the project was recently leaked, while Banks is well-known for her quirky roles after Zach and Miri Make a Porno and The 40 Year Old Virgin. The nature of the film's delicious story is likely to put the pair up close and personal – on set. The flick follows a French thriller, Pour Elle, which tells the story of a man who tries to save his wife who claims to have been wrongly convicted of a murder. Crowe certainly lucks out with his leading ladies. Most recently he starred opposite fellow countrywoman Cate Blanchett. The Next Three Days was written and produced by Paul Haggis, the Oscar winner behind 2004’s Crash.
