"The Insider" can confirm that Calif. Attorney General Edmund G. Brown, Jr. is launching an independent investigation into several physicians whose names have arisen during the Michael Jackson death investigation."Responding to a request from the LAPD, agents from my office will investigate several physicians whose names have come up in the course of the Michael Jackson death inquiry," Brown says. "This investigation is at its earliest stages, and no conclusions can be drawn at this point."
Agents from the attorney general's Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement will delve into relevant records and documents in the coming days and weeks. Earlier Friday, the LAPD released a statement to "The Insider" saying the Drug Enforcement Administration will also conduct their own independent investigation related to Michael Jackson.
