Q: Hi Anya, I am going to attend an oath ceremony in September. Would you please help and advise what is the best fit! I am 5 feet tall and 128 pounds.
A: I appreciate your question and I want to help you as best as I can. Could you provide some more information such as what kind of oath ceremony this will be? What kind of attire is required, and what climate do you live in?
Q: Anya, I am starting high school next week and was wondering what type of outfit would make a good first impression and help me stand out.
A: Congratulations on beginning this exciting journey! On the first day, you want to look cute, smart, and give off the impression that you are friendly and ready to meet new people. I suggest a great conversation piece like a cute pair of ballet flats, a fun necklace, or a statement backpack. A lifelong friend can be made just by someone complimenting you on your fabulous outfit.
Q: We need help! My husband and I have been invited to a wedding at a resort in Cancun in November. We will be attending two events. The attire for them is listed as "beach tail" and "beach chic."
A: How, fun! What a great invitation. For beach tail, try a tan or light brown suit with a crisp white or light-blue shirt for your husband. For you, I recommend a long, printed, flowy maxi dress in chiffon. For beach chic, an appropriate choice is a sundress for you and have your husband try a khaki pant with a pink or white shirt with the sleeves rolled up. My advice to you is to shop for this now while stores still have their summer items on sale. Come November, they will be harder to find. Have fun and take lots of pictures! Sounds like a great event.
