Spike Lee Hosts Massive Michael Jackson Birthday Celebration at The Insider

Dancing Michael Jackson fans reportedly numbering in the thousands filled up a New York park where director Spike Lee hosted a ceremonial birthday bash for the late King of Pop, who would have turned 51 on Saturday.

The party-goers danced beneath a shower of rain in Brooklyn's Prospect Park as a DJ spun Jackson's classic songs, says the Associated Press.

"I was just like everyone else. I loved his talent," Lee said.

Known for films such as 'Do the Right Thing' and 'Inside Man,' Lee also directed Jackson's music video for "They Don't Care About Us."

i can still not believe the Michael Jackson is gone. i cannot stop watching his video clips and song. it is my prayer that he rest peacefull in the hand of His maker. And also express my sympathy to His parents and siblings. i will forever love you...

I watch the video They Don't Really Care About Us the other day. The first time I have been able to watch a MJ video since his passing. It still was hard. I started to cry. I just can't believe he is gone.
