In the wake of celeb club disc jockey DJ AM's death, his mother Andrea Gross has just filed court documents in Los Angeles Superior Court, in which she requests to be appointed special administrator of her late son's estate.

In the documents obtained by "The Insider," Gross is seeking to be appointed special administrator of Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein's estate so that she can "move forward with the sale" of the star's home, which she claims her son was in the process of doing.

Gross also seeks to be special administrator so that she can be party to the legal proceedings and possible future settlement of the civil suit DJ AM was involved in relating to his 2008 plane crash injuries.

Goldstein was found dead at the age of 36 on Friday evening in his New York City apartment.
