'Dancing' Pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Karina Smirnoff to Reunite After Recent Split

Earlier this week "Dancing with the Stars" pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff called off their engagement -- but ET has confirmed that the two are getting back together, if only for a dance.

Maksim and Karina are scheduled to perform at the "61st Primetime Emmy Awards" in a segment that will recognize dancing within reality television.

The pros are currently practicing for the upcoming season of "DWTS." Maksim is dancing with "Entourage" actress Debi Mazar, while Karina is performing with singer Aaron Carter.

Catch their dance when the Emmy awards show air Sunday, September 20 at 8 p.m. on CBS.

  • Thats too bad but I never felt they went together. Karina seems she gets together with everyone she dances with. Mario Lopez etc. Mak and Karina just seemed like friends not two people that were meant for one another. I think he wants to get married...
