The newly crowned recipient of Best Female Video praised the graciousness of Beyonce Knowles. When accepting the award for Video of the Year, Knowles invited Swift on stage to finish delivering her acceptance speech.
Swift said in the press conference, "Before the talented artist, the superstar, she's always been a great person and I just, I thought that I couldn't love Beyonce more tonight and then tonight happened and it was just wonderful."
Initially Swift was excited to see West join her on stage. She said, "Then I wasn't so excited anymore..."
The young star handled this all in stride, saying, "I don't know him and I don't want to start anything because I just had a great night tonight." She also expressed gratitude for all the supportive text messages she received throughout the night.
