Is Russell Brand Funny?

From Our Friends at Lemondrop Russell Brand's MTV presentation at the VMAs was, by a general consensus, rather sucky. Lemondrop took to looking at Brand's book, My Booky Wook, and examined it from the drugs and sex angle. Does it really hold up to expectations, and is Russell Brand even humorous?
