"The Insider" confirms that one "Grey's Anatomy" star has welcomed her first child!

 

Ellen Pompeo -- who plays Dr. Meredith Grey on the ABC show -- gave birth to a baby girl on Sept. 15 in Los Angeles. Her and husband Chris Ivery named their new bundle of joy Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery.

Pompeo's costar Katherine Heigl recently adopted a baby girl from Korea. The new mothers' hit show debuts the season premiere Sept. 24.
