Evi Quaid penned a two-page letter on behalf of herself and her husband, Randy Quaid, to defend their innocence. "The Insider" obtained this letter from the Presidio County Sheriff's Office.

The couple was arrested on Thursday in Marfa, Texas for allegedly not paying a $10,000 hotel bill at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, CA. According to Evi's letter, the Quaid's were married at that resort nearly 20 years ago.

Evi also included a copy of the cashier's check she said she and her husband allegedly used to pay their bill at the hotel.

Randy and Evi each posted $20,000 bail to be released from jail.

  • Evi Quaid's note is wacky, but it does include the copy of a $5,546.96 cashier's check. Any info on the check?

  • No celebrity is arrested without probabal cause, think of the lawsuit the Quaids would have if thiis was a false arrest.
