Niecy Nash Brings Her Opinions to "The Insider"

Niecy Nash, well-known for her roles in "The Bernie Mac Show," "Reno 911!" and "Clean House," has joined "The Insider" as a celebrity panelist!

Niecy will be debating with "The Insider"'s Lara Spencer, Samantha Harris and Chris Jacobs about the buzzworthy headlines that everyone is talking about.

"We are thrilled to welcome Niecy to ‘The Insider’ team,” said "The Insider" executive producer Linda Bell Blue. "Her comedic timing and extensive performance background makes her the perfect addition to our 'Insider' panel."

Nash is best known as host of the Style Network’s No. 1 show “Clean House” and star of Comedy Central’s “Reno 911.” She has also appeared in numerous feature films, including, 'Reno 911: Miami,' 'Code Name: The Cleaner,' 'Boys on the Side,' 'Guess Who' and 'G-Force.' Additionally, Nash has had guest-starring roles on such top-rated series as “My Name Is Earl,” “Monk,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Girlfriends,” “NYPD Blue,” “That’s So Raven,” “One on One,” “Judging Amy” and “Reba."

A native of Los Angeles, Nash graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills with a degree in theatre.

  • The Insider needs to get rid of Niecey Nash and the entire panel idea. It really has no credibility now. The show and panel is annoying.

  • Format change is horrible. Hard to give credibility to panelists. Seems so contrived. TV camera has to swing back and forth to capture speakers. Distracting, and panelists have to lean back so we can see all of them. Silly. Just have them sit in a straight line or cut to their desks.

  • I do not like panel. Distracting to see them swiveling in their changes; odd angles to see speaker on wall and panelists. Looks constrained.

  • I see more of Star Jones than Niecy Nash on the revamped Insider, "Oh". Niecy is very annoying and Star brings intellect to the show. But, if Niecy signed a contract it may not be bye-bye so quickly. Please don't bring Niecy back for next season.

    We miss your flair on Clean House. Not crazy about the format of the Insider--it's a waste of your talents. This bland blog format of a show does not give you close ups nor does it give you a full body shot. We want to see more of you and less of the flat makeup and dull male

  • Niecy is no worse than some of these other "bore-me-to-tears" hosts they have on television. She might liven it up a little - all of them, so tight-ass, cornballs. And as for Sarah Palin, who's dumb as a back of rocks, need to get out of politics. She's the female version of Bush. I'm waiting for responses....

  • The show was great before the format change. The convoluted, poorly-acted "arguments" and "banter" are unwatchable. Lara Spencer has lost what little credibility she had by partiipating in this ridiculous farce. Bring back the old format!

    • I agree the show is poorly done. Too many personalities that don't flow well together. Also too many cookie cutter people. Lacks diversity and luster. Perhaps add a Latino personality to wakeup the show.
