The producers of the vampire franchise have reportedly acquired the screen rights to "The Hills" star's novel.
Temple Hill Entertainment partners Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey will produce the book-turned-movie, while Conrad will executive produce under her production company Blue Eyed Girl, Variety reports.
LA Candy -- which has been on the New York Times bestseller list for 14 weeks -- is about a 19-year-old girl who moves to Hollywood and quickly becomes a celebrity after joining a reality TV series.
“Lauren, who became an icon in that reality show world, came to us with a structure of how to tell the story in an interesting fashion, that was separate and apart from the book,” said producer Bowen. "Her book is an honest portrayal of what it must be like to set out to be normal, then sign on to become famous and eventually realize, 'Wow, this isn’t at all what I’d planned for myself.'"

Would you go to a Lauren Conrad fashion show if she came to your campus?
