Hopper's rep released the following statement regarding the actor's health:
"After experiencing some severe flu-like symptoms, and not being in his hometown, Dennis went to the hospital for medical care. He was treated for dehydration, and is now back in his hotel room and feeling much better. Dennis would like to thank everyone for their well wishes- and he looks forward to getting back to work on 'Crash.'"
The 73-year-old Hollywood icon has been nominated for an Oscar twice -- for co-writing 1969's 'Easy Rider,' and for acting in 1986's 'Hoosiers.'
