Adrien Brody To Star in Updated 'Predator' Film

According to a new report, Adrien Brody will star in a new spin on 'Predator.'

In the revamp, titled 'Predators,' Brody will play a character similar to the one originally played by Schwarzenegger, according to Daily Variety. The film, which is being produced by Robert Rodriguez, will reportedly kick off production shortly in Hawaii and in Austin, Texas.

Brody will play a mercenary and alien hunter in the film, which producers are hoping could spawn a new franchise. 'Predators' is set to be released on July 9, 2010, Variety reports.

  • i am a big fan of the PREDATOR movies so i hope they get a really good story in this movie and not dissapoint me like the last one did and as for brody rodriguez i cant wait for this one.

  • I like that robert rodriguez is involved but brody should be the geeky tech guy that winds up having the fight the alien in the end as everyone else is killed in more gruesome ways.

  • Hmm... this could be interesting. Adrien Brody seems like an actor with a lot of integrity, he wouldn't sign on for this if it wasn't any good. Plus, the director is Robert FRICKIN' Rodriguez. That definitely shows some promise.

  • Look guys and gals....If everyone is going to compare Adrian to Arnold, of course we'll be disappointed. The original movie is a classic. I say before we pass judgement on a movie that isn't even made yet, let's sit back and give Brody a chance. Who knows? Brody might do this film and inspire a whole new gen of Predator fans.
