President Obama Takes Home The Nobel Peace Prize

President Barack Obama has won this year's Nobel Peace Prize for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,"  the annual award's committee announced this morning.     "He has created a new international climate."
The selection of the President is considered a surprise as his name wasn't heard as a contender.  But the committee said, "We are awarding Obama for what he has done.  Many other people and leaders and nations have to respond in a positive way."
The only other sitting U.S. Presidents to win the honor were Teddy Roosevelt, and Woodrow Wilson.  Jimmy Carter got his after he left office.
According to the White House, the Prez is humbled by the award.
