Paul Anka Revealed as Co-Writer of New Michael Jackson Song

A new Michael Jackson song that was posthumously released, called "This Is It," was co-written by singer Paul Anka, it was revealed Monday.

The Associated Press reports that the original version of the song, called "I Never Heard," was a duet between Jackson and Anka, and was co-written back in 1983.

The Jackson estate says it will give credit to and pay Anka 50 percent of all profits, according to the AP.

The new version of the song was released on Michael Jackson’s Web site and also sent to radio stations.

  • Orpah was talking about This IS IT movie with the director. She show a clip or two. She said that she have not been to see a movie in along time but October 28th she will be there to see this movie. Me too Orpah. Me too.

    • Orpah also said that watching the clips it was clear to her what a great talent we lost. She said Michael was alittle skinny but he still could do his thing as only Michael could do.

  • I just finished watching a video of Michael singing the song SMILE. Every picture was of Michael smiling and each picture I saw, I cried . I looked at him smiling and thinking he's gone. He is no longer with us.

  • Michael Jackson didn't release this song. And I don't believe he stoled it either. First Anka said it was co-write. Was he lying? I think people who were his haters when he was alive are still his haters now that he is dead.

  • I love that song but what's not fair from Sony is to release it as a new track...only cuz the words "this is it" reminds "this it it tour"..Only commercial purpose ! even and more after Michael's passed away...LuvHimForever...
