Michael Jackson Receives Five Posthumous 'American Music Award' Noms

Paula Abdul announced the nominees for this year's "American Music Awards," where Michael Jackson picked up five noms for his 2003 greatest hits collection.

Jackson is eligible because the AMAs go by sales and air play, not based on the year the material may have been released. The late singer is up for Artist of the Year, Pop Rock Male, Pop Rock Album, R&B/Soul Male and R&B/Soul Album.

The "American Music Awards" air Sunday, November 22 on ABC.

  • MJ deserves every one of the five awards. He is the highest selling artist not only of 2009 but always. To all MJ lovers: please vote for him at American Music Awards vote.
    Please know that you should vote for him every day until the awards. It only takes a minute. I never watch these awards. But I will be watching this one. I have been voting every day. Please do the same.

  • When I found out that Michael was nominated...i promised that i will vote for him, and I did. Michael Jackson is the number one in all the world. I will be so happy and excited if he wins all the five awards. Mj is the BEST.RIP.
