Ask Anya and Lara's Look for Less: Fab Finds for Under $62

In another fabulous episode of Lara's Look for Less, "Insider" stylist extraordinaire Anya Sarre is bringing you a version of Lara Spencer's on-air look -- for under $62!

Anya tells you how to wear navy with black, and then below, she answers your fashion questions! Keep those questions coming!

Question: Hi, Anya, Can you give me the maker for the sheer purple blouse on today's (10/13/09) episode, or the product code number, or the maker. You stated that it was from JCPenney. I would love to purchase it. Thanks, Ava.

Answer: Hi Ava, thanks for watching! The sheer purple blouse is "Allen B by Allen Schwartz" for JCPenney. It is $21.99. Check back everyday for more great looks for less!

Q: Anya, Lara had a mustard yellow sweater paired with a grey necklace the other day. I know the necklace was from Banana Republic. Where was the sweater from and how much was the cost?

A: The citrine sweater is from Michael Kors (www.MichaelKors.com) and is $795. I love his fall collection. If you want something similar, try the look for less we found for only $16.50 at Old Navy (www.OldNavy.com).

Q: I am having a hard time finding a good-fitting jean! I am only 5' 2" but when I buy petites they look too short with wedges, and too long, and I want them to fit in all the right places!

A: You are not alone! Most people can't wear jeans off the rack and need to get them hemmed. A style trick is to find a pair of jeans that you love and buy two pairs. Then, get one hemmed for heels and one hemmed for flats. Take a permanent marker and write “H” for heels on one tag, and “F” for flats on the other tag so you know which one is for which. Investing in a tailor will make your jeans look like they were made for you! Look for an inexpensive tailor at your local dry cleaner.

Q: Anya, one trend I see is the skinny belt. I'm a size 12/14. Can thicker women wear thin belts or should we go with a wider belt?

A: Yes! You can, just be cautious because a belt draws attention to your middle, so if you carry more weight in your middle, don't wear a belt. Always dress for what looks good on you, not what is a trend. Be cautious of a thick belt because sometimes it can cut you in half. A skinny belt is an easy way to give the illusion of a smaller waist.

Q: Where did you go to school?

A: I did my undergrad at the University of Southern California where I studied Communications and Marketing. Then I went to New York and did my graduate degree at Parsons the New School for Design where I studied Fashion Design and Trendspotting.
