NY Yankees Hosting RAW From MSG?, J.R. Misses SmackDown

WWE officials are looking to have a member of the New York Yankees likely either Derek Jeter or Johnny Damon host the November 16, 2009 edition of Monday Night Raw at Madison Square Garden. How the “The Bronx Bombers” do in the playoffs this year, among other factors, will determine whether a deal can be reached.

Jim Ross missed this week's SmackDown taping in Lexington, Kentucky. He was filled in by Michael Cole, who called the show alongside Todd Grisham. Don’t read anything into this as he was given the night off due to his wedding anniversary. He noted in a blog last week that he hasn’t voluntarily missed a week of television in his 16 years with WWE not to mention his time in WCW.
