Characters and stars walked the "yellow" carpet in honor of "The Simpsons'" 20th Anniversary.

According to the Associated Press, director Morgan Spurlock said the "Balloon Boy" headlines would make "such a perfect 'Simpsons' episode." He continued, "It was American news at its best. We run with something without having all the facts. We turn it into a big lead story."

"The Simpsons" had a lot to celebrate as they cut their cake. The series is the longest-running American sitcom, animated program, and primetime scripted entertainment program, according to the AP. "The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3-D on Ice" is set to air in January.

  • The phrase is "based on" not "based off of". In fact, it's never grammatically correct to say "off of".
