An arrest warrant was recommended last week for Dr. Murray after he missed a hearing in his child support case.
The objection papers filed say that Murray "did not receive notice of his hearing in this matter. He was not within the state of Nevada at the time of the notice and was forced to close his office..."
The documents also state that the doctor intended to make the child support payments, which reportedly amounted to over $13,000, with the money he received from working for Jackson. "Unfortunately, despite initial reports by the media, [Dr. Murray] never received any compensation from Michael Jackson whatsoever," the papers read.
The objection continues, claiming that Dr. Murray was forced to close his practice for safety reasons when "problems compounded after Michael Jackson's death."
The papers read, "He has in no way intentionally evaded his obligations and fully intends on paying any and all amounts due and owing. However, at the present [Dr. Murray] is temporarily unable to maintain a practice or obtain employment because of the extensive media coverage related to the death of Michael Jackson."
Murray was with the King of Pop when he died and is being investigated after reports say he allegedly administered the powerful anesthetic Propofol to Jackson shortly before his death.
