"We had no idea they got engaged and we just literally talked to them yesterday,” Harris tells People.com, saying that they had just heard the good news. “They sent us a picture of them in New Zealand and they looked so happy … I guess I never thought about it, but them being in New Zealand would be the best time to do it. It all makes sense!”
The controversial "Bachelor" -- who dumped Melissa Rycroft for Malaney after the finale of the show -- proposed to Malaney in New Zealand.
Harris says of Mesnick and his bride-to-be, “They’re so awesome together. ... We hung out with them in Vancouver -- the four of us -- and we had so much fun. We’ll definitely want to hang out more in the future.”
The newest ABC "Bachelor" Jake Pavelka was one of Harris' suitors on "The Bachelorette." Harris says she's excited for Pavelka. "I think he’s going to make an interesting 'Bachelor.' ... He’s definitely got a lot of emotion so I think he’ll be very fun to watch.”
