Lisa Niemi to sit on panel at women's conference six weeks after Swayze's death. "I'm a tough lady," Lisa Niemi once told Barbara Walters in an interview -- but she added she was weak when it came to her husband Patrick Swayze. Just weeks after Swayze's passing, Niemi will muster her strength on October 27 to speak at the Grief, Healing and Resilience at the Women's Conference 2009 in Long Beach, California.

  • A very strong lady! I lost my husband in 2003, and don't think I could have talked about his passing in public so soon...I wish I could have...I'm glad she has the strength to help others in this way.
