On whether she wants to ever marry again, Kate responded, "Really seriously, do you really think now is a good time to be asking me that? To be honest, I don't know. I struggle because I really don't want to be married again, can you blame me? But I don't want to be alone."
She said the right guy for her will be "someone with a lot of patience, character, strength, and, wow, wisdom, to take us on. … maybe when I'm 73 ½."
On renewing her wedding vows with Jon in Hawaii in 2008, Kate said, "That was a goal of ours, that was something we always wanted to do, and I don't have any regrets." She said it's hard to answer her eight kids when they point out that she and Jon promised to be together for the rest of their lives during the ceremony, and reflected, "It's just hard to believe that was a year ago and we've gone so far from it. ... a lot can happen in a year."
Kate says that an education fund for her sextuplets and twins has been set up: "There is a healthy amount of money put away for the kids and it is safe. It will not be touched, other than for education." She also said that they've never forced the kids to do anything involving their reality show, and that "contrary to current popular belief, that it is in no way shape or form harmful to the kids."
When a viewer asks why Jon and Kate gave their two dogs back to the breeder, Kate says she hopes the dogs will come back eventually, but explains why they went back to the breeder for now: "I knew that the dogs needed more than I could give them ... never when I got the dogs did I have any intention of giving them back, ever. ... I prefer to give all of my heart and soul to my kids. If you have to choose between dogs and kids, I'm sorry, kids come first."
She told the audience that she's averaging about four to five hours of sleep these days, and, when a viewer asks whether she ever flips out, she say, "Being a mom to a lot of kids ... is draining and you do tend to flip out." She says she's trying to work on her patience and understanding.
When a viewer asks what the worst story she's read about herself, she answers, "There are so many horrible stories out there about me, obviously the one, wherever it was started, about me having an affair, that was ridiculous. The bottom line of that is, it is hurtful if you pay attention to it. It changes your life, even though it's untrue. ... People don't want to be friends with you, they don't want to be anywhere near you."
Kate also touched on light topics like the Halloween wig that's being sold that mimics her hair cut. She says she "laughed her head off" about that. She also confessed that she hopes to continue a career on TV and in entertainment, saying, "I would love to be in a movie at some point, I would love to be the voice of a cartoon character in a movie for my kids, I think it would be fun."
