“Cougar Town” on ABC, is a new comedy series that is only getting better as Courtney Cox shows plenty of bite playing a miserably, divorced forty-something single mom constantly on the prowl. She is desperately seeking hookups, to her teenage son’s horror but her girlfriends’ delight.
She has a great supporting cast, (Busy Phillipps, Christa Miller, and scene-stealer Carolyn Hennesy) and they are the cat’s meow! This show is breathlessly frantic and frequently crude but shamelessly silly rapid-fire raunch often makes you feel like the female flip side to Judd Apatow’s bawdy dude-coms. This show is never subtle, but it can be a lot of fun.
