'Dancing' Pro Maksim on Ex-Fiancée: I Want to Let Karina Enjoy Her Time

After his break up with ex-fiancée Karina Smirnoff, "Dancing with the Stars" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy says he's going to let her enjoy her time on the show.

In a new tell-all blog entry on TVGuide.com, Maksim says he doesn't "want to be the cause of anyone's frustration."

"Life goes on and it's amazing. I want to let Karina enjoy her time and I want Aaron [Carter] to enjoy his 'Dancing with the Stars' experience because it's not fair if my presence makes him cringe or makes her cringe or makes him uncomfortable. I wish them all the best."

Maksim and celebrity partner Debi Mazar were voted off the show early on, while Karina and Aaron are still in the running to win the coveted mirror ball trophy.

  • Yeah, I agree with Anonymous....she's apparently had a fling with all of her partners so find someone that will love YOU. You're a good looking guy and you'll find someone that will truly care about you.

  • He can do much better than settling for someone like Karina. She has very loose morals, screws around with all her dance partners and he deserves someone who can love him without cheating on him.
