Rihanna to Talk About Chris Brown Incident in Upcoming Interview

For the first time since the headline-grabbing domestic violence incident involving her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown -- Rihanna is set to talk about what happened between them last February.

ABC News has announced that Rihanna will sit down with Diane Sawyer in an interview that is scheduled to air on "Good Morning America" on Thursday, Nov. 5 and Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 a.m. ET -- and then on Nov. 6 at 10 p.m. ET on "20/20."

"This happened to me...it can happen to anyone," Rihanna says, adding of Chris, "He was definitely my first big love."

According to ABC News, Rihanna will also talk about her family life, growing up in Barbados and how life has been for her since her split from Brown, who was sentenced to five years of probation, community labor and one year of domestic violence counseling.

  • Was Chris Brown wrong for laying his hands on her in a violent way,YES! But Chris is also going through a lot in his life with this situation, true he is to blame for all these trials going on in his life, but I do believe he also has the right to speak on what happened. He is also not the one to blame for it to air the same day as Rihanna you can thank the producers who set up the interview for that. It wasn't like he did that to hurt her. He knows he's done enough of that and I am sure he isn't trying to do it again.

  • For all those people who thought this was the first incident to happen should be ashamed of yourselves for being blind. Help and compassion for both of them should be given. We the people seem to be so unforgiven to young man who is product of his upbringing. he nedds help no judgement. And Rhianna needs help as well so she doesn't repeat the cycle in the future. I enjoy them both as entertainers and wish them well in the future.
