According to a rep for the show, the new 30-minute program, picked up for 10 episodes, will feature Kirstie's weight-loss struggle, her look for love, mothering her two teenage children, producing a film, as well as the patenting of her inventions and care of her eight ringtail lemurs.
"Kirstie is exactly the kind of star A&E is drawn to," said Robert Sharenow, Senior Vice President of Non-Fiction & Alternative Programming, A&E Network. "She is a multifaceted talent who connects with our audience on so many levels. Her personal life has been playing out in the media for years but this will be the first time she'll be opening up her home to reveal her real life for the cameras."
The series will debut in 2010.
