Mel Gibson and his Baby Momma Have their Baby! at The Insider

I have to say, I can’t believe that the birth of this child has come and gone with barely enough attention paid to it to sweep it under the rug. Mel Gibson and his Baby Momma, Oksana Grigorieva, have had their baby. If you don’t remember (and why would you? it’s hardly been talked about), Robyn, Mel’s ex-wife, filed for divorce from her psycho husband after she found out that he was cheating on her with Oksana. The couple, that being the one of Mel and Robyn, split, leaving 7 children now separated from one of their parents. Robyn, stuck it to Mel because well, hell hath no fury, and took him for all he’s worth.

The rumors about Mel and Oksana started shortly after her pregnancy was announced, which was shortly after the divorce was announced. Were Mel and Oksana going to get married? Was Oksana going to also take Mel for all he was worth, which was now half of what he used to be worth? No one really knew except for the fact that shortly after the news of the pregnancy broke, Mel tramped down the red carpet with Oksana to show off his new young Baby Momma. Anyways, my own little tirade about Mel Gibson and how much of a schmuck he is ranting all to say that the child of Oksana and Mel has now been born. And all of my ranting just to say that I can’t believe there wasn’t more scandal during this pregnancy! We heard those few rumors and then -kaput. Nothing. So now the little one is here and will we start to get more stories circling about the couple now? From Star,

“Mel Gibson became a father for the eighth time on Friday when his girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, gave birth to bouncing baby girl.

The bundle of joy, named Lucia, was born at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles, Mel’s rep confirmed Monday. No other details were available.

Back in May, Mel, 53, told Jay Leno that he and Oksana, a 39-year-old Russian singer, were expecting a child together. The pregnancy shocker came just weeks after Mel filed for divorce from his wife of nearly 30 years, Robyn.

Mel has seven children from his marriage to Robyn and Oksana has one son from a previous relationship with Timothy Dalton.”

So will Mel Gibson and Oksana really continue to fade into the background now that the beautiful baby girl is here? Or will it fuel the rumor mills finally about this story? Or, will it lead to the couple actually doing something stupid like marriage? I think Mel was right on track when this thing first broke. I think he took Oksana out and flaunted her around and beat us all to the punch. So really, what else is there to talk about?
