The Food Network announced that the teams on the episode will compete to make a meal using produce from Michelle Obama’s garden.
Obama will greet the chefs along with White House executive chef Cristeta Comerford. Flay will partner up with Comerford against Batali and Lagasse. Each will prepare an astonishing five dishes for what is being billed as the “ultimate American meal”.
British kitchen queen Lawson will judge the teams’ efforts. She will be assisted by Olympic medallist swimmer Natalie Coughlin, who recently competed on Dancing With the Stars, and Jane Seymour.
The White House garden is becoming a popular TV prop: it was also featured The Biggest Loser this week.
