Usher's Wife 'Stable' After Surgery Complications

Singer Usher is now officially a single man.

The Associated Press reports that Usher's divorce from former wife Tameka Raymond was made official on Wednesday.

Divorce papers that were filed by Usher back in June stated that the marriage was "irretrievably broken" and "there [was] no reasonable hope of reconciliation." Usher also revealed that the two actually separated in July 2008 and had been living apart since then.

The 31-year-old Grammy winner and Raymond married in August 2007 and have two children together. Usher had asked the court for joint custody, but according to the AP, there's no word yet on whether a custody agreement has been determined.

  • its funny how celebrities make a mockery of marriage. you were seperated after less than a year of marriage? do you celebrities even bother to get to know a person before you decide to spend the rest of your life with them. or is getting married just a celebrity fad to you people. I say the united states should have a new law. If you are a celebrity and you get married, you are forced to stay married for the rest of your life. maybe that way we can lower celebrity stupidity.

  • it's a trip how people get married and then ends up in divorce.I feel if people get to know their mate first and I'm not talking about 2-3 years.It takes a long time to get to know someone,and ladies must learn to have faith in their man and mold their man in a positive way for the best intrest of their mate,and also we men and women need to learn how to TRUST one another.

    • parents who stay together and fight a lot are most likely going to destroy their children's life. the kids will learn that its ok to be in a loveless marriage. By breaking up...they actually did their child a favor.
