Breaking: Joe Jackson Seeks Allowance from Michael Jackson's Estate at The Insider

Michael Jackson's Father Arrives at BET Awards

Michael Jackson's father is trying to obtain an allowance from the late singer's estate.

"The Insider" has obtained court documents filed by an attorney for Joe Jackson in Los Angeles on Friday, in which the 81-year-old is seeking an allowance from his son's estate.

The papers state that Jackson "has been without support since the death of his son…," and "is in urgent need [of] funds to maintain his household."

Jackson's attorney also says in the document: "For reasons which [were] never explained, [the special administrators of Michael Jackson's estate] excluded Joseph Jackson from their petition although they knew that Michael Jackson had supported for many decades his father….”

The papers also state that Joe Jackson suffered a stroke in 1998, was hospitalized in 2004 for stomach ulcers and "was dependent upon the money provided by his son, Michael Jackson, through his wife, Katherine Jackson, for his support."

The AP reports that a judge has approved $26,000 in monthly payments to his mother and $60,000 monthly for the care of his children -- "Prince" Michael, Paris and "Blanket."

Joe Jackson u need to get a life and earn your own money. l cannot believe that u are still after your sons money now that he is gone. Michael has supported u since he was 5 years old. Back off Joe. i would like to know why u were not punished for child abuse because that is how u treated Michael.

Remember, Michael was a loving and forgiving son inspite of his Father's misguided parenting style. If Michael were alive would he still be supporting his Father? We could probably say, YES. So, what if Michael is in heaven, saying, "Please give my Dad some of this money, to help him take care of himself." Maybe they should? Just enough to make ends meet? but no more than that?. Can we agree to be forgiving of the parents who did some harm, but also some good?

Michael has 3 children,a mother who loved her so dearly. I believe that Kathrine should decide over her son's estate, After all she is the one taking care of Mi Jackson's children. Thembi.S Africa.

This may get deleted but oh well I have to say this. People talking about michael father wanted some of his money and they dont want him to have it, dam they didnt want his mother to have nothing and she is his mother the woman that gave live to him. They know dam well they did not want a black woman to have eighty million dollars, that kind of money is not for black people they wanted that white woman to have that money not the blacks. Mrs Jackson is blessed that white woman said of tv that she didnt want them kids and she had them kids for Michael because if she didnt his mother would'nt had gotten a dime. And for as them not wanted mr jackson to have anything they didnt want any of them black people to get a dime and they know Im tell the turth so help me god. I* fell mr jackson should have some of that money they wanted to give it all to the white woman and he is michael father.

Michael loved his father and if he were alive I believe he would be helping him. When all is said and done their family was close and came together. MJ wouldn't want people attacking his father.
