Question: Hi Anya, my work place Christmas party is coming up on 12/19/09. I would love to go, but I packed on a few pounds in my tummy area. Please tell me what to wear so I don’t show that part of me and embarrass myself.
Answer: Winter is the perfect time to hide any unwanted areas and still look great! Try black, purple, or navy. Be sure to go monochromatic and wear the same color from head to toe for the most slimming look. If you’re a dress girl, wear a black dress with black Spanx (www.spanx.com) tights and black boots. Jazz up your outfit with a colored belt, statement jewelry, or a patterned scarf. Don’t underestimate the power of Spanx; they will flatten your middle in a couple of seconds. You will turn heads at your party!
Question: What scarf, hat and gloves can I wear with a red coat? I think black is boring. I have a purple scarf but I don’t want to look too cheesy! Since it is cold here I really need to wear all three. Any ideas?
Answer: My two favorite scarf combos for a red coat are classic cream or a plaid pattern with a hint of red in it. Save your purple scarf for a cream or grey jacket!
Question: My skin is white. What are colors that suit me?
Answer: Great question! With very light skin you want to stick to colors that won’t wash you out. Try light blue, lilac, and magenta. Stay away from grey and green!
Question: I just got a yellow coat. What color scarf/gloves/hat would go with it? Please help.
Answer: Wow I’m jealous! I’ve spent half my life looking for yellow coats. A cream scarf is always classic with yellow. I just found a lime green plaid scarf from J. Crew (www.jcrew.com) that looks great with a yellow coat. If your jacket is solid yellow, have fun and try a printed scarf. You could even do a dark animal print.
Question: What brand of aviator sunglasses was Levi Johnston wearing?
