'The Twilight Saga: New Moon': Meet the Wolf Pack

'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' brings several new characters into the 'Twilight' series fold -- and now "The Insider" is introducing you to the hunky shapeshifters of the Wolf Pack.

In the sequel to 'Twilight,' Taylor Lautner's character Jacob Black undergoes a mysterious transformation and begins hanging out with a new crowd on the La Push Native American reservation -- the Wolf Pack. Alex Meraz, Bronson Pelletier, Chaske Spencer, and Kiowa Gordon sat down with "The Insider" to tell all about joining the fabulous franchise.

Bronson said that seeing himself transform into a wolf onscreen gave him goosebumps, while Alex says, "Everyone wants to do a movie where you're bigger than life, you can transform into something and have these superpowers. So seeing the transformation, I was really blown away."

The guys, who say they've bonded off-camera as well as on, confess that their co-star Kristen Stewart packs a mean punch. In one scene, she had to sock it to Chaske, and he tells "The Insider," "She has a mean right hook. We did this scene where she punches me. First punch -- boom -- knocked the wind out of me."

Bronson adds, "I'm the right-hand man a little behind him and all of a sudden he turns around and I can see the look on his face. Right then, I was like, uh, that must've hurt!"

Alex says, "The best part is she comes up to him, she says, 'Sorry, am I hitting you too hard?' He's all, 'No, no. It's fine.' Then he turns to me he's like, 'I think she broke my rib.'"

All the young men cast as members of the Quileute tribe are either Native American or First Nation, and they explain to "The Insider" what that meant to them. Chaske says that the authentic casting was "very important, because I think throughout history, Hollywood has not cast Native Americans in roles."

Watch the video for more, and come back tomorrow to see "The Insider"'s extended interview with Dakota Fanning, Jamie Campbell Bower, Cameron Bright and Michael Sheen from the Volturi and come back every weekday until 'New Moon' premieres in theaters on Friday, November 20 to see a new "Insider" video with the cast!

  • Some of the comments (no everyone does not want to be a CG animal...some of us have a sense of self) they didn't cast Natives/Indigenous people in this movie either. Biggest Indigenous roles went to non-natives/indigenous people. Not one of these...
