Sarah Palin: Daughter Bristol's Pregnancy 'Devastated' Me
Before Oprah's highly anticipated sit-down with Sarah Palin on Monday, Barbara Walters is releasing clips of her own upcoming interview with the former Alaska governor.

Palin tells Walters she didn’t realize her teenage daughter Bristol was sexually active, so she was stunned to learn that her daughter and Levi Johnston were expecting a child.

“That’s why I was shocked,” Palin says. “Truthfully, we were devastated.”

The former VP hopeful had accepted the offer to become John McCain's running mate just a few days earlier. Bristol and Levi’s son Tripp arrived last December.

Walters' full interview with Palin is a five-part series of ABC News interviews which begin airing on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, Nov. 17. Meanwhile, Palin’s sit-down with Oprah takes place on Monday, Nov. 16.
