Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie always shine on the red carpet, but now they have an upscale jewelry line to help others sparkle.

Inspired by the snake, the couple has created a gold and silver jewelry line called The Protector for Asprey, Women's Wear Daily reports. Jolie is said to consider the reptile a protector of her family.

The jewelry line includes diamond, black diamond and pavé rings in addition to bracelets, earrings, men's cuff links and dress studs.

Accessories start at $525 and all net proceeds will go to Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, an organization co-founded by Jolie in 2006 that seeks to educate children who are victims of war, conflict and natural disasters.

“These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, a place to build a better future and a place -- to just be children," Jolie said of her charity. "Yet the education for these children is often forgotten. Tens of millions of children and adolescents in conflict are not in school."

  • RobynE6 how many children have you adopted in the U.S. cause if you adopt 1 or 2 that would help. At least these two are doing something. I appreciate what they do.

  • We first laughed at Paul Newman's salad dressing but his foundation brought in the big bucks. So, the jewelry idea for charity isn't so off the wall. Good Luck with this and hopefully you raise significant sums for the kids.

  • people are still missing the point. Some people won't give to charities, but all rich folk will buy jewellery. It's just one more way they help children in need. If I had the money I would buy one, even if I never wore it.

    • @catbme my brother have own snakes for 20 years and never had a problem with them. They have been good pets. That family was stupid and careless.
